New Life Worship Center was birthed out of a Macedonian call that was responded to during the earlier part of 2007. With a grand launching that took place at the original location of the Church.
The officiating ministers of this solemn occasion were the State Bishop of New York, Bishop Andrew Binda, District Bishop of District #24 Bishop Hixford Allen, local pastor Bishop R.L. Rose and their wives. Other pastors and ministers present were Bishops N. Clarke, J. Rhodes, A.C. Brown, Revs. M. Sterling, R. Queensborough, J. Stephenson and their wives.
The evening was celebrated with holy greetings from God’s faithful servants who pronounced their blessings upon this new ministry and pledged their continuous prayers for its progress.
The ministry started with brethren who were sent from their District church to assist Bishop Rose and family. However, not all were consistent as there were those who were otherwise occupied with school work, etc.
It was a clear indication however, that the hand of the Lord was indeed upon this ministry. The first Sunday service enjoyed an attendance of approximately 33 persons of which approximately eighty percent came from the community.
The first baptism was held in the month of July, The Showers of Blessings members graced New Life with their strong support and joined in baptism where seven persons were immersed. To God be the glory.
Within three months, over 30 persons were added to the Church. To God be the glory.
Since our inception, the New Life Worship Center has been in action with a vibrant youth group, Children’s Ministry, Choir, Women’s Ministry, Men’s Ministry, Public Relations Department, Audio Engineering Department and more. To God be the glory.
We are certainly encouraged by the support given by our State Office under the leadership of our Administrative Bishop, Bishop Andrew Binda and our District Church lead by Bishop Hixford Allen. Also by the other churches on the District with their pastors and faithful members.
The New Life family is certainly a unique one and is always willing to serve in the various areas that the Lord has placed them. To-date we are seeing a steady congregation of over fifty persons in our Sunday morning services. To God be the glory.
As we move one round higher in ministry, we are very careful to observe Kingdom Principles in order to please our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
On this special occasion, we paused to thank God for His divine leading and blessings on our lives.
The Lord has blessed us with continued growth as we moved to a larger facility in February 2009. This new Church building was Dedicated on April 5th and we were blessed with the attendance by our Brethren from Churches local and from as far away as Canada. We know that the Lord is at the forefront of this ministry as we strive to advance His Kingdom here in this vineyard.
In closing, I wish to salute all the leaders in their respective departments. You have worked hard since we first began and God bless you richly. To all the members and friends who continue to be faithful supporters to this Ministry, God bless you abundantly.
